I am an American who has been living in London for nearly a decade. My passion is for introducing people to this beautiful city and creating memorable days out. Originally from a theatre and drama background, I have worked as a tour guide since 2013, both as a freelancer for many companies as well as an independent guide. My particular passion is for off-the-beaten path tours where I show you things that may not be top 10 in the guide books... but I can also frequently be found at the Change of the Guard's ceremony and know all the best spots to stand.
My pet project is London Loo Tours, which I created in 2013 when I was still at the beginning of my guiding career. I was obsessed with where to find free toilets and save a penny in London, and thought I'd write a tour about it. It turned out to be a much more engrossing subject than I had imagined, and 14 years later I still routinely carry a plunger around London and wax poetical about the history of Sanitation.
The tours run as regular public walks or are available for private events (which I have run for groups ranging from Sanitary engineers to Stag and Hen parties)
Though the Ceremony is free to attend you'll have a much deeper experience with a guide who can tell you the background of the regiments, whether the King is in, and who knows the right places to stand and what events might effect the guards movements.
