Tours

My tours cover a wide range of subjects that I am passionate about. Below are some of my most popular routes, and I am also happy where possible to oblige with custom requests, so if there is an area you are eager to explore please let me know! I have 9 years of experience as a tour guide in London. With a background as a performer and storyteller I pride myself on tours that are entertaining and engaging as well as full of historical (and modern!) facts about London! I offer private tours for small family groups, schools and universities, corporate bonding and socials, birthdays, singles events, stag and hen parties, and any other reason you can think of!

I am not currently running my own schedule of public tours, but work freelance for several companies who do!

Westminster or

Change of the Guards Tour

There is also the option (subject to timing) to catch a glimpse of England's famous Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Buckingham and St James' Palace.

The London Loo Tour

The side of London we all need but rarely talk about. This tour will plunge you into the fascinating world of London's history of sanitation and public toilets. Not only will you come away with a wealth of information you never knew you needed, but you will be armed with the knowledge of the best places to go so that you are never caught short in London again!

More about London Loo Tours can be found at my company website: lootours.com

Length: 2 Hours

Meeting Point: Waterloo Station

Ghosts of Westminster

Perfect for paranormal experts and skeptics alike. This tour combines stories of some of the city's grizliest murders and executions with history of ghost hunting through the ages and how social views of ghosts and hauntings have changed across the years.

I often describe my approach as the 'philosophical comedy' ghost tour... there won't be any jump scares or raising of the dead, but plenty of spooky stories, a few laughs and a good dose of history.

Length: 2 Hours

Meeting Point: Picadilly Circus or Green Park

Covent Garden Pubs

The best of both worlds: history and booze! This tour takes a gentle ramble through the Covent Garden area where you'll be entertained by tales of drunken debauchery from Charles II (the Merry Monarch) and his court, to John Wren, the greatest drunk of all time. And of course you'll have the chance to enjoy a few drinks along the way yourself (though it's not recommended to drink gin in pints as the Georgians did!)

Length: 2.5-3 hours (or longer depending how much we drink!)

Meeting Point: Leicester Square or The Salsbury Pub, Covent Garden.

NEW! Life in the UK Tour

How British are you? This tour was inspired by my current studies to pass the Life in The UK test: All the things the government thinks you should know, from the history of Kings, Queens and battles, to the laws of the land, to pop culture, music and litrature.

This tour has no association with and is not endorsed by the Life in the UK test or UK Visas and Imigration.

Length: 2 Hours

Meeting Point: Westminster Station

Women's History Tour

In Development

From Queen Boudica to Queen Elizabeth II and many more in between, discover the women who have shaped Britain, who persisted when they were told no. Women are often sidelined in the history books (did you know that London has twice as many statues of animals as of named women?) but are an ever present force, as Monarchs, MPs, Activists, Scientists and Suffragettes.

Length: 2 Hours

Meeting Point: Westminster Station

Photography Walks

Whether you want to find the best views of London with your DSLR or get to grips with creative selfies on your smartphone I can show you new angles on some of the most iconic sights in London, as well as some hidden gems.

Walks are tailored to your interests and can include landscape, architecture and portrait photography as well as an introduction to Snapseed, the smartphone editing app.

Accessible and

Family Friendly Walks

Over the years many people have said to me "I would love to do a walking tour but...."

There are many barriers to the traditional walking tour format from limited mobility to having a young family to entertain, to anxiety in crowded places. I firmly believe that walking tours are for everyone, so if you have wanted to go on a walking tour but felt they weren't for you please drop me a message with your interests and your access requirements and I can create something just for you. Maybe it's a tour with additional rest stops. A steps free route for your wheelchair or buggy. A shorter tour for young attention spans, or a longer tour to allow you time to stop and feed a baby. Knowing you'll never be more than 5 minutes form a toilet. An early morning tour to escape the crowds. Anything is possible!

This is for you!

Custom Tours

Don't see quite what you're looking for here? I am also happy to put together tours in areas and subjects of your choice (and if it's not a subject I cover I can probably put you in touch with another independant guide that does!)

I love to hear new ideas, so please do contact me with any bespoke requests!
